In 1953, Martin Bosses started making paper vacuum bags out of a two car garage in Brooklyn, NY. After his son, Mark, entered the business in the early 80s, their company Home Care Industries eventually became the largest manufacturer of vacuum bags in the world. Known for being the first company to introduce synthetic vacuum cleaner filter bags, which provided unprecedented filtration levels compared to paper filter bags, Home Care Industries manufactured the OEM filter bags for brands like Oreck, Bissell, Hoover, Eureka, Dirt Devil, Electrolux, Kirby and many others. Home Care Industries was also a leader in using anti-microbial media inside vacuum filter bags.
In 2011, Mark began a new venture with his son, Jacob, to create a high-end line of vacuum cleaners with innovative technology like using vibrational sonic energy to clean carpets. In 2017, Soniclean formed a partnership with Mohawk Industries, the world’s leading carpet and flooring manufacturer, to develop a vacuum that safely but effectively cleans premium soft fiber and natural fiber carpets. Soniclean manufactures in Germany, Italy, and China and our product line has expanded from producing upright and canister vacuum cleaners, to cordless stick vacuums and professional-grade steamers.
Soniclean products are available through 1000+ independent Mohawk carpet retailers in the USA through, as well as retailers such as Amazon.com, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond.
Here at Soniclean, we really like supporting our independent carpet retailers as most of them are local, family-owned stores. Although our products are available through a variety of large online retailers, if you are interested in Soniclean products and would like a demo, we recommend that you contact your local independent flooring store that carries Soniclean. A map of Soniclean dealers can be found here.
Thank you for reading about our company history. We really love what we do and we greatly appreciate your business! If you have any questions or need assistance with any Soniclean product, please do not hesitate to contact us.
