Soft Carpet Upright VacuumSelect issue
Your Soft Carpet vacuum is equiped with a static pressure sensor, which triggers the vacuum's Check Bag light to turn ON when:
1). Your filter bag is full and needs to be changed.
2). Your vacuum has a clog somewhere in the suction path.
For clog removal instructions, please reference page 10 of your vacuum's user manual.

The Soft Carpet vacuum uses a sensor and embedded magnets in the brush roll to count the number of rotations per minute (RPM) that the brush roll spins. If the brush roll RPMs drop below a certain threshold, this indicates that there is debris in the brush roll (e.g. hair wrapped around it...). When a brush roll jam is sensed, the vacuum will automatically turn off and the Check Brush light will illuminate. When cleaning your vacuum's brush roll, be sure to first turn the vacuum OFF and unplug it from the power source. If the brush roll is not regularly inspected and cleaned, dust may leak into the bearings and prevent the brush roll from turning freely. If the bearings are damaged, you will require a new brush roll assembly. Brush rolls are available for purchase $24.99 (S&H not included). Please contact Soniclean to order a replacement brush roll.
If your vacuum is producing a musty smell, this is due to 1). The filter bag needs to be changed and/or 2). Your vacuum has a clog. For clog removal instructions, please reference page 10 of your vacuum’s user manual.
If your vacuum is producing a burning smell, you probably have an obstruction/debris caught in the brush roll/brush roll bearings. If the brush roll is not regularly maintained, dust, carpet fibers and other debris may prevent the brush roll from turning freely. To order a replacement brush roll, please contact Soniclean support.
From time to time, customers may accidently vacuum up a sharp object such as a nail or paper clip, which can damage or get stuck in the brush roll or impeller housing (i.e. the suction motor fan). Damage to the machine from vacuuming up objects like nails or paper clips is not covered by the machines warranty. However, we can certainly assist you with removing any debris in the vacuum that is causing this noise. If required, we can also supply replacement parts to get your machine back to normal operation. The best course of action is to contact our support team so we can properly diagnose and fix the issue.
If you vacuum will not turn on, first check to see if your power source (electrical outlet) and electrical breaker are functional. If you are still not able to turn your vacuum on, check the indicator lights. If the “check brush” light is on, your vacuum is sensing a jam in the brush roll and will not turn on until the brush roll is clear of debris. If the “check bag” light is on, your vacuum either has a clog or a full bag, which is preventing vacuum from turning on. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Soniclean support.
If your vacuum’s suction power has decrease with use, this is because 1) the filter bag needs to be changed and/or 2) the vacuum has a clog in the suction path. For clog removal instructions, please reference page 10 of your vacuum’s user manual.
